Some Delaware gifts are for people who live there year round, and some are for the ones who come back to the same beach every summer. Here's what we make for both.
Everything below is in our Delaware gifts collection.
For locals
Delaware is known as the First State. Our First State design pairs the state outline with a gray fox, a waterfall and pine forest, plus "The First State" and EST. 1787, the year Delaware became the first state to ratify the Constitution.
The First State slate coaster set comes as a single coaster or a set of 4, 6 or 8, in natural slate, round or square, 4 inches across and a quarter inch thick. The edges are hand chiseled, so no two coasters are alike, and four foam pads on the back protect the table. There's a lighter cork version, 3/16 inch thick, that grips without pads and takes a hot mug.

The same design comes on a wall sign, 10 by 10 inch leatherette in blue or brown with a sawtooth hanger.
For beach regulars
We don't make a beach town design, so for the family that rents the same place every August, the state designs do the talking. Delaware is tall and narrow, and two of our 16 designs run the name vertically down the shape. For the house itself:
- HOME Outline, HOME with the state outline as the O
- Home Sweet Home, with the state shape as the O in HOME
They come on the Delaware slate coaster set, the cork coaster set and the wine bottle cutting board.

The First State water bottle is 32 oz insulated stainless steel in black or white, with a flip top and a built-in straw, and it keeps drinks cold for 24 hours or more on the sand. Hand wash only.

Timing
These aren't made in Delaware. We keep plain blanks in stock in our workshop in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and engrave each piece after you order. Orders ship within 1 to 5 business days, coasters in a white gift box and boards and wall art in a plain box, so plan on wrapping a board or sign meant as a gift.
