Our Connecticut gift ideas come down to two kinds of design: the Constitution State design with its sperm whale, and 16 state designs from a plain outline to HOME. Here's what's on each and everything they come on.

The sperm whale design
Connecticut is known as the Constitution State. Our Constitution State design pairs the state outline with a sperm whale, the state animal, plus "The Constitution State" and EST. 1788, the year Connecticut joined the Union.
It comes on:
- Wall sign: 10 by 10 inch leatherette with a sawtooth hanger. Blue engraves in a light silver grey, brown engraves almost black.
- Slate coasters: natural slate coasters, single or in sets of 4, 6 or 8, round or square, 4 inches across, hand chiseled edges.
- Cork coasters: cork coasters, single or in sets of 4, 6 or 8, 3/16 inch thick, lighter, and grips the table without pads.
- Water bottle: 32 oz insulated stainless steel, black or white, flip top and built-in straw, hand wash only.
- Ornaments: leatherette, slate and wood.
The state designs
The other 16 designs run from a classic outline and bold state name to CT initials, a word cloud, a floral fill, a script signature and HOME with the state as the O. Hearts and stars inside the state shape are decorative and don't mark a town. They come on the slate coaster set, the cork coaster set, the bamboo board and leatherette, slate and wood ornaments.
Which to pick
- Someone who loves the coast: the sperm whale design.
- Someone who just moved in: HOME Outline or Home Sweet Home.
- A tree: a leatherette ornament, which is shatterproof and the one to hang low if there are kids or cats near the tree.
Timing
These aren't made in Connecticut. We keep plain blanks in stock in our workshop in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and engrave each piece after you order. Orders ship within 1 to 5 business days, coasters in a white gift box and boards and wall art in a plain box.
