Made for North Carolina

North Carolina is the Tar Heel State. Made for a table in Charlotte, Raleigh and the Triangle, Asheville in the mountains, Wilmington, or the Outer Banks. Alongside the outlines, script lettering and heart and star accents, the set includes designs drawn only for North Carolina: the NC Initials monogram, North Carolina Script and Est. 1789.

What you get

• 1, 4, 6 or 8 coasters, every coaster in a set engraved with the same design
• Your choice of 16 North Carolina designs, state outlines, script lettering, the state name, heart and star accents, and more
• Round or square, both 4" across

Details

• Material: genuine natural slate, 1/4" thick
• Size: 4" round or 4" square
• Edges: hand chiseled, so no two coasters are ever identical
• Backing: four foam pads on the underside to protect your furniture
• Finish: laser engraved into the stone, it will not fade, peel, or wash off
• Packaging: ships in a protective sleeve (not gift boxed)

Made to order

We keep the slate in stock and run your design only after you order, so nothing sits on a shelf waiting. Your order is engraved and shipped within 1-3 business days.

Why slate

Slate is naturally porous, so it absorbs condensation instead of pushing it onto your table. The dark stone hides drips, the weight keeps a coaster from sliding when you lift your glass, and because the design is cut into the stone itself, it cannot wear off. Rinse with warm water and air dry.

A good gift for

Anyone who grew up in North Carolina, moved away from it, or moved to it, new homeowners in Charlotte or Raleigh, weddings, graduations, retirements, or the transplant who still calls North Carolina home.

The same state on other pieces

All 16 North Carolina designs are also engraved on the cork coaster set. If you would rather have one classic design, there is a Tar Heel State slate set and a matching bottle opener coaster. The same state art is on a leatherette wall sign and a 32 oz water bottle. Everything for the state is in North Carolina gifts.
