A ski condo kitchen and a family kitchen want the same thing from a cutting board: something that works and holds up. Here's our Utah cutting board and which designs suit each.

What the board is
The Utah wine bottle cutting board is solid bamboo, 17 by 5.25 inches, cut in the shape of a wine bottle. That long, narrow shape makes it a cheese board, a charcuterie plank or a bar tray. The design is laser engraved into the surface, so there's no ink or paint to wear off, and the engraving shifts between browns and blacks, so no two boards match exactly.
For a ski condo
A board in a rental or a shared condo gets a lot of use from a lot of people. A simple design keeps it looking right:

- UT Initials, the letters with the state outline
For a family kitchen
For a home, the HOME designs fit:

Care
Hand wash and towel dry. No dishwasher, and don't leave it soaking. A little food safe mineral oil every so often keeps the bamboo from drying out.
Pair it with coasters
The Beehive State slate coaster set has the state outline with a beehive, a California gull and red rock arches, on natural slate coasters, sold single or in sets of 4, 6 or 8, 4 inches across and a quarter inch thick. For a condo with a lot of guests, the lighter cork set grips without pads and won't chip.
Timing
These aren't made in Utah. We keep plain blanks in stock in our workshop in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and engrave each piece after you order. Boards ship within 1 to 5 business days in a plain box, so plan on wrapping it if it's a gift.
