The first Christmas in a new city is worth marking with something that goes back on the tree every year. Here are our Massachusetts ornaments, including Boston for a first year in the city.

Three materials
- Slate is dark natural stone, a 3 or 4 inch round, with the design engraved pale into the stone and a hanging string included.
- Wood is light, 3.5 inches across and about a tenth of an inch thick, with a twine hanger already tied.
- Leatherette is a thin, shatterproof disc, 3 3/4 inches, in black, blue or brown, with a cord attached. It's the one to hang low if there are kids or cats near the tree.
A first Christmas in Boston
Our Boston skyline shows a cable-stayed bridge, the Charles River and a skyline that mixes old streets with glass towers. It comes on the Boston slate ornament and the Boston wood ornament.
HOME designs
For a new home anywhere in the state, two of our 16 Massachusetts state designs fit best:
- HOME Outline, HOME with the state outline as the O
- Home Sweet Home, with the state shape as the O in HOME

The Bay State ornament
Massachusetts is known as the Bay State. Our Bay State design pairs the state outline with a whale, a lighthouse and the sun over Cape Cod and the islands, plus "The Bay State" and EST. 1788, the year Massachusetts joined the Union. It comes on a leatherette ornament, a slate ornament and a wood ornament.
Merry Christmas From Massachusetts
The Merry Christmas From Massachusetts leatherette ornament arches the words over the state shape, with the state name in script and a laurel wreath underneath. It also comes in slate and wood. It's a good one to send to family back home that first year.
Timing
These aren't made in Massachusetts. We keep plain blanks in stock in our workshop in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and engrave each piece after you order. Ornaments ship within 1 to 3 business days in a protective sleeve. If you're ordering in December, add carrier transit time.
