A round wood Christmas ornament, laser engraved with an iconic South Carolina design. Two designs to choose from. Palmetto & Lighthouse has a crescent moon, a palmetto tree and a lighthouse. Beach Lighthouse has a striped lighthouse, palm trees and a beach under a crescent moon. Both carry the state outline, "The Palmetto State" and EST. 1788. The design is burned into the grain itself, so it will not fade, peel or wash off, and it comes out of the box looking the same every December.

Wood or slate?

This is the light one: pale, warm and barely there on the branch, with the engraving reading dark against the grain. The same design in slate is dark stone with the design cut in light, heavier in the hand, and comes in 3" or 4".
