Detroit, Michigan Skyline Wine Bottle Cutting Board, Engraved Bamboo

A bamboo serving board cut in the silhouette of a wine bottle, laser engraved with the Detroit, Michigan skyline. A Great Lakes city that rebuilds, and a food scene that came back with it. The engraving cuts into the surface rather than sitting on top of it, so there is no ink or paint to wear off.

Detroit, beyond the skyline

Detroit put the world on wheels, and Ford, GM and Stellantis still run big operations here. Motown Records started in a house on West Grand Boulevard that is now the Motown Museum, Eastern Market has been open since 1891, and the Riverwalk faces Windsor, Ontario across the water.

Details

• Size: 17" x 5.25", cut in the silhouette of a wine bottle
• Material: solid bamboo, food safe and hard wearing
• Design: the Detroit, Michigan skyline with the city name beneath it
• Engraving: laser engraved into the surface, so there is no ink or paint to wear off
• Finish: engraving colour shifts between browns and blacks, so no two boards match exactly

Care

Hand wash and towel dry. No dishwasher, and do not leave it soaking. A little food safe mineral oil every so often keeps the bamboo from drying out.

Made to order

We keep the bamboo blanks in stock and engrave your board only after you order, so nothing sits on a shelf waiting. Boards ship within 1-5 business days.

A good gift for

Housewarmings and weddings, the Detroiter who never once considered leaving, and anyone who left Detroit and still says they are from there.

The same skyline on other pieces

The Detroit skyline also runs on a slate Christmas ornament, a wood Christmas ornament, slate coasters and cork coasters.
