"Christmas Tree Hugger" Coffee Mug Tumbler, 15 oz

Flounder wrapped around the Christmas tree in the way that ends with the tree on the floor. Hand drawn by Nina Leipold.

Details

• Capacity: 15 oz
• Material: double-wall insulated stainless steel
• Colors: 6 to choose from: dark purple, olive green, black, light blue, maroon, navy
• Print: full colour, wrapped around the mug so the design reads from either side

Care

Hand wash only. Do not put this mug in the dishwasher and do not microwave it. Dishwasher heat can break the seal between the two walls, and once that seal goes the insulation stops working for good. Warm water and dish soap is all it needs.

Made to order

Printed after you order rather than held in stock, so nothing sits on a shelf waiting. Mugs ship within 1-3 business days.

Who Flounder is

Flounder is a real cat who talks using communication buttons. Nina Leipold draws her by hand, from life, which is why every design looks like a specific cat rather than a stock one.

A good gift for

Christmas mornings, gift exchanges and households where the tree is a negotiation.

More Christmas Tree Hugger

The same design runs across the Christmas Tree Hugger collection.

More of the same cat on drinkware in cat tumblers, and every design we put on a tumbler lives in tumblers.

The same design on other pieces

The same artwork is on a tee and a sticker. Everything with this design is in Christmas Tree Hugger.

Nina, also known as Flounder’s mom, is an award-winning artist, animator, and children’s book illustrator whose creative passion shines through every piece of her work. With years of experience bringing whimsical characters to life, Nina has found her greatest inspiration right at home, in the form of her beloved fish, Flounder the Purrmaid. Flounder isn’t just her muse, but also the heart and soul of this collection.

Nina’s favorite subject to paint and draw has always been Flounder, and every design you see begins with real-life moments captured through photography. Flounder has happily “modeled” for countless reference photos, allowing Nina to capture her playful personality and signature expressions with incredible accuracy and charm. From the initial sketch to the finished artwork, each design is lovingly hand-drawn and carefully crafted by Nina herself.

Every product in the Flounder Cat collection represents the bond between artist and muse, a blend of Nina’s artistic skill and Flounder’s irresistible charisma. The result is a one-of-a-kind line of artwork and products that are not only beautiful, but also deeply personal. When you bring home a Flounder Cat design, you’re not just getting a piece of art, you’re getting a little piece of FlounderLand.
