Why slate

Slate is naturally porous, so it absorbs condensation instead of pushing it onto your table. The dark stone hides drips, the weight keeps a coaster from sliding when you lift your glass, and because the design is cut into the stone itself, it cannot wear off. Rinse with warm water and air dry.

Cork or slate?

We make this same Wyoming design on both. Cork is light, warm toned and takes a hot mug as happily as a cold glass. Slate is heavier and darker, with hand chiseled edges, and reads more like barware. See the cork version here.
