A cutting board is a kitchen or wedding gift that gets pulled out every week. Here are our Pennsylvania cutting boards, the four city versions, and which designs suit a new home or a couple.
They're in our Pennsylvania gifts collection.
What the board is
Each board is solid bamboo, 17 by 5.25 inches, cut in the shape of a wine bottle. That long, narrow shape makes it a cheese board, a charcuterie plank or a bar tray. The design is laser engraved into the surface, so there's no ink or paint to wear off. One face carries the design and the other is a working surface.
For a kitchen
The Pennsylvania wine bottle cutting board comes in our 16 Pennsylvania designs. For a new home:
- HOME Outline, HOME with the state outline as the O
- Home Sweet Home, with the state shape as the O in HOME

For a wedding
For a couple, Home Script & Heart, the state outline with home in script and a heart, reads a little softer.

We don't add names or dates, and the board isn't on any registry service. If the couple has a registry elsewhere, this works as the off-registry gift that still gets used.
City boards
For a kitchen in a particular city, there are four skyline boards:
- Philadelphia board. Our Philadelphia skyline shows the Liberty Bell, City Hall, a bridge over the river and the Center City towers.
- Pittsburgh board. Our Pittsburgh skyline shows the bridges, a glass tower downtown and three rivers meeting.
- Gettysburg board. Our Gettysburg skyline shows the town with its monuments and a mounted statue.
- State College board. Our State College skyline shows a college town in the middle of the Pennsylvania mountains.

Care
Hand wash and towel dry. No dishwasher, and don't leave it soaking. A little food safe mineral oil every so often keeps the bamboo from drying out.
Timing
These aren't made in Pennsylvania. We keep plain blanks in stock in our workshop in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and engrave each piece after you order. Boards ship within 1 to 5 business days in a plain box, so plan on wrapping it before the party.
