Slate Coasters

Natural slate coasters, laser engraved with your choice of design. Slate is a real stone, so these are stone coasters in the literal sense: cut from rock, not pressed from composite. Dark surface, hand chiseled edges, so no two are ever identical. The engraving is cut into the stone itself and reads bright against it. Every set includes four matching coasters in your choice of round or square.

What makes slate work

• Absorbent: slate is naturally porous, so it takes up condensation instead of pushing it onto your table
• Weight: 1/4" of stone stays put when you lift your glass, instead of coming up stuck to the bottom
• Hand chiseled edges: every coaster is finished by hand, so no two in the set are the same
• Protected: four foam pads on the underside keep the stone off your furniture
• Permanent: the design is cut into the stone, so it cannot fade, peel or wear off

Made to order

We keep the slate blanks in stock and run your design only after you order, so nothing sits on a shelf waiting. Sets are engraved and shipped within 1-3 business days. Rinse with warm water and air dry.

Slate or cork?

We make the same designs on both. Slate is heavier and darker and reads more like barware, the set you put out for company. Cork is lighter and warm-toned, quieter on the table, and it can't chip. Cork is the everyday set; slate is the one that makes an impression.
