A cutting board works in a kitchen you live in every day and in one you rent for a week in October. Here's our New Hampshire cutting board, which designs suit which kitchen, and how to look after it.

What the board is
The New Hampshire wine bottle cutting board is solid bamboo, 17 by 5.25 inches, cut in the shape of a wine bottle. That long, narrow shape makes it a cheese board, a charcuterie plank or a bar tray. The design is laser engraved into the surface, so there's no ink or paint to wear off. One face carries the design and the other is a working surface.
For a rental kitchen
If you own a place that guests rent for foliage season, a board with the state on it gives the kitchen a New Hampshire touch without adding clutter. A plain design keeps it simple:
- Classic Outline, the state shape on its own
- Est. 1788, the outline with the year under it
For a real kitchen
For a home kitchen, the HOME designs fit:
- HOME Outline, HOME with the state outline as the O
- Home Sweet Home, with the state shape as the O in HOME
For a wedding, Home Script & Heart, the state outline with home in script and a heart, reads a little softer. We don't add names or dates, and the board isn't on any registry service.
Care
Hand wash and towel dry. No dishwasher, and don't leave it soaking. A little food safe mineral oil every so often keeps the bamboo from drying out. If it's in a rental, it's worth leaving that note for guests.
Pair it with coasters
New Hampshire is known as the Granite State. Our Granite State design pairs the state outline with a purple finch, plus "The Granite State" and EST. 1788, the year New Hampshire joined the Union. The Granite State slate coaster set comes as a single coaster or a set of 4, 6 or 8, in natural slate, 4 inches across and a quarter inch thick, with hand chiseled edges and foam pads on the back.
Timing
These aren't made in New Hampshire. We keep plain blanks in stock in our workshop in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and engrave each piece after you order. Boards ship within 1 to 3 business days in a plain box.
